What Is It?
A virtual server is a server that you can access remotely and shares resources with other users who also have high computing needs. A virtual server is less expensive than a dedicated server and can offer more resources because of the many things its users may bring to the table.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
Faculty, staff, and graduate students at CBSB may request virtual servers.
Where Can I Get It?
Click the "New Virtual Server" button in the upper right.
How Do I Use It?
You would use a virtual server the same way that you would use a dedicated server, but the login process is slightly different. Follow login instructions here.
How Much Does It Cost?
There is no fee associated with this service.
